U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith, as well as Congressman Rick Nolan, have asked President Trump to take action on ensuring the strength of the nation’s steel industry following an investigation by the Department of Commerce.
The initial announcement of the investigation started a large amount of steel imports when foreign countries looked to preempt any an action on strengthening America’s import policy.
In addition, the Dept. of Commerce has submitted the results of its investigation to President Trump, who is currently in his 90 days to act on those results.
