Nolan on Tuesday was named a Steel Champion by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) at Hibbing Taconite for his support of the steel industry and its employees.
It was another accolade and endorsement for the candidate to hang his hat on as he nears what’s expected to be a tight election race with Republican challenger Stewart Mills. Nolan defeated Mills by mere percentage points in 2014.
