When all is said and done, their voices will be heard.
Voices of people like Bob Morton, who worked a little more than 37 years at Erie Mining Co., beginning as a laborer in April of 1959 and retiring in 1996 after many years spent in the taconite mine’s machine shop.
Morton was among those who packed a room at the Hoyt Lakes City Hall Wednesday afternoon during one of three presentations held on opening day of the Erie Mining History Project’s traveling exhibit in Hoyt Lakes, where it will remain throughout May.
