Timing is everything, and for Iron Range leaders visiting the Minnesota Capitol today, their timing is impeccable.
As Duluth and St. Louis County Days descend on St. Paul, and the chance for local politicians and organizations to promote themselves to state lawmakers, a delegation of county leaders are traveling with a special gift for elected officials.
Coordinated by St. Louis County Commissioner Keith Nelson, more than 200 legislators and lawmakers are receiving a “taste” of the Range: a box complete with Buhl water, locally harvested wild rice and small cookbook for the crop, along with information about the region’s mining and wild rice history.
